It looks like more discussion about the ramifications of additional patent troll legislation is underway. Gigaom reports that a vote on the legislation, set for yesterday, has been delayed. Maybe this Bloomberg Government meetup was met with some success. We certainly hope so. The legislation appeared to draw some criticism [registration required] at the Bloomberg meetup. There needs to be more discussion about how this legislation impacts other companies. Legislation usually carries collateral damage beyond just the target. We remain concerned about unintended consequences. Maybe that's the reason for this pause.
