PTAB Appeals (formerly BPAI appeals)

How current are the PTAB appeal decisions on Patdek?

We strive to maintain a mirrored relationship between the decisions available on Patdek and those same decisions available from the USPTO. Generally, we are current to within 24 hours of the decisions available at the USPTO.

What can I search?

Every decision is searchable using Patdek. We have more than 60,000 decisions dating back to the 1960s.

When you say that every decision is searchable, what do you mean?

Through our ingestion process, we have learned that a fair number of decisions are not text-searchable. The PDF versions of these decisions consist of scanned images only. For the Patdek service, these decisions are made text-searchable using optical character recognition (OCR) tools during ingestion.

How many decisions do you have in your collection?

We have every publicly accessible PTAB appeals decision that is available from the USPTO.

What makes Patdek different from other PTAB appeal websites?

There are a number of different services that make PTAB appeals decisions available. Depending on your needs, we may or may not be superior to a service you already use. With every Patdek data set, we are optimized for speed. We strive to provide a response to your query as fast as possible. We also link each PTAB appeals decision to an underlying patent or published patent application. If an IPR or CBM proceeding exists against the related patent, we’ll let you know that as well. Like any document available on Patdek, you can add any decision to your personal online collection or share it using your Patdek Drive.
